Descrizione/Description
We don’t use the flower of the Iris plant but its dried roots. The aroma of this botanical develops after years of storage in ventilated places away from parasites and rodents. Added to the difficulties of cultivation are those of storage. This product is almost always sold raw but Casalvento offers both the “white” and the “black” products, both granulated and whole and with several years of guaranteed maturation and contained in irons. The iris has been a Tuscan tradition for a few hundred years (it dates back to the times of Catherine de Medici) but the past is distant and Casalvento embraces the future by offering distilleries and liqueur factories not only certified botany but fine absolutes and iris butter
